For the last few days I have been experiencing the fire of God in a plethora of ways. Last week I saw an angel with fire in its wings in a dream. A few days later I noticed that I have begun to feel fire on different parts of my body consistently. Though this is not unusual for me, I inquired of the Lord what was happening…

I felt led to look at what fire does in the natural. Fire purifies, it gives light, it consumes, devours and destroys. Fire can do three things it can spread, die down or go out. We should all desire the fire of God to spread in us like never before. In Isa 34:14-15 it says ” Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?  He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil.’ —

Saints we are in a season where the fire of God is being sent through His angels and as these fiery angels are at work around us manifesting in numerous ways we are being purged from all that condemns or perverts. God wants His fire in us to spread and cleanse us from the inside out. You will notice a sensitivity all of a sudden to those things that quench the fire of God in you. I implore you do not ignore His promptings and harden your heart. Let us allow the fire of God to consume us purifying and destroying all that can corrupt our hearts.

There many things that can cause the fire of  God to go down or go out. Our Father has highlighted the sins of the heart  to me which defiles us. Offence and evil desires are the two that came to me.

Let’s begin with offence, what is offence? The word offence comes from the Greek word, “Skandalon”. The word means a snare, a noose or a trap. It also means something that makes someone to stumble or fall into a scandalous act. Generally it means to feel annoyed or hurt by something or what someone did or said.
The devil can ensnare one through offence and when that happens one begins to do his will and manifest feelings of anger, resentment, wrath and criticism which ultimately leads to divisions, rebellion and fighting.

Great men and women in history have missed golden opportunities because they’ve allowed offences to dictate their responses and actions at crucial points in their lives. Offence is most times overlooked or reduced to a “small sin” but many have missed their destiny because of offence. Proverbs 18:19 ‘A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city. This means that it is a lot easier to conquer or win a strong city than reconcile a brother who is offended. WOW!
Offence is very serious and it can attract evil spirits in our lives. We see this in example of Saul’s life and how his offence towards David led to anger which caused Saul many times to attempt to kill David (1 Samuel 19).
What are the signs of offence? Offence can manifest in withdrawal from friendships, resentment, distrust, betrayal, unanswered prayers, rebellion, recollection of events over and over.
On Sunday I asked the Lord how does one stay un -offendable? He said “offence is a sign that the offended has not mastered the art of receiving His mercy.” You see His mercy is the bait  He uses to lead us to repentance. We would only stay offended when we have failed to see His mercy in our lives. A moment by moment revelation of His mercy is the key to stay unoffendable. When we are able to receive mercy we can then release mercy. Luke 7:47 b” but he who is forgiven little, loves little.” When we receive His mercy it stokes His fire of love in our hearts for our Lord and for others. You see offence stops us from walking in love.‘He that dwells in love dwells in God’ — 1 JOHN 4: 16.

Evil desires is another area the Lord has been speaking to me on. I inquired of Him what are evil desires and I sensed Him saying it is anything that He has not willed for us and yet we are lusting after it because we are comparing ourselves to others. As I thought, I realised that these things are earthly desires  as described in Colossians 3:5 “ So kill (deaden, [a]deprive of power) the evil desire lurking in your members [those animal impulses and all that is earthly in you that is employed in sin]: sexual vice, impurity, sensual appetites, unholy desires, and all greed and covetousness, for that is idolatry (the deifying of self and other created things instead of God).” The scripture uses strong adjectives like kill, deaden, deprive of power…this tells me this is something we have power over. As I read this scripture the picture I had was bringing my whole self (my soul, body and spirit) to the altar and surrendering to the Lord all my members as instruments of righteousness and choosing to put on a heavenly mindset. One that sees from heaven to earth causing heavenly desires because my perspective is One with the Lord’s. The Lord has been teaching me that when we bring our whole self in surrender we are giving Him access to stoke His fire in us.

The fire of God has been sent to cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Our PAPA God is preparing us for the GREATEST AWAKENING AND OUTPOURING we have ever seen. We are being called to shed all that does not look like our Heavenly Father as He prepares His bride. Allow the fire of God to spread and permeate in every area of your life like never before. Singing….SET A FIRE DOWN IN MY SOUL THAT I CAN’T CONTAIN THAT CAN’T CONTROL….

Big hugs to you all.
