Pitfalls that prevent greater Intimacy with God?

Your intimacy with God cannot supersede your love walk with man. Look at the person you are most intimate with and you will see the potential level of intimacy with God. Simply put “you cannot be right with God and wrong with man.”  The two must be in harmony for oneness (or the flow of God) to be released.

1 John 4:20 says it this way ” If a man say, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar: for he that loves not his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. If a man says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar.”

The natural is always a divine pattern for the spiritual.

The bible says “Love your neighbour as yourself” (Mark 12:31). Please note this is the second commandment which implies to us we cannot give away what we do not have. The first commandment has a direct correlation to the second commandment. The first says “Love the Lord God with all your heart, your soul and mind. “ Therefore implying, our love for God helps us to identify and embrace the image of God in us so we can love others the way Christ loves us.

Do you want to grow in your intimacy with God? Then, identify what are the barriers of intimacy in your life.

  • Offence
  • Disappointments
  • False Identity
  • Self preservation
  • FEAR

Keep short accounts with man and with God by repentance. As you repent of any offence , disappointments, false identity be sure to ask PAPA for His perspective on all matters/situation so you can be healed from all wounds as new memories are birthed. Self preservation, fear, builds barricades of not wanting to be hurt again in that way, acts as barrier to prevent greater  intimacy.

His perspective and wisdom on all matters will give you insight, foresight and oversight to not only face a similar situation again and again but empowers you to overcome and enables living water to flow out of you  causing greater levels of intimacy.

I declare Greater levels of intimacy as you walk in oneness with the best Daddy ever.

Lots of love ,

Are you looking to the Source or to your Resources?

Philippians 4:19 ….And our God will meet ALL your NEEDS according to HIS GLORIOUS RICHES. (Emphasis on His glorious riches not our own).

So often life can be demanding with bills to pay, our children needing a bag, a pair of shoes or just wanting to bless someone and the resources are not there to purchase or to give those things. We can sometimes become heavy laden and begin to question…..

Recently I found myself in a similar situation and I heard the Lord say do not confuse Source for Resource. I felt He was helping me to make the distinction between the Source and our resources. Our Source is God Himself and where every good thing comes from. Our resource are those good things that He provides for us. Too often when we cannot find the resource we allow ourselves to lose our peace. When we live out of our flesh we will always seek resource. However, when we are anchored in the Source, we will seek His divine order for things. The wrong focus can lead us onto a slippery slope. We run the risk of derailing God’s divine plans for our lives and aborting His destiny too.

Laban is a great example of this wrong focus. He was so focused on acquiring resources he deliberately wrung Jacob dry by getting him to work for promises of his daughter Rachel. He changed the conditions of this promise many times so as to get what he wanted. Laban completely overlooked Jacob’s feelings but treated him like a slave at the expense of acquiring resources for his family (Genesis 24:29-60). We must not be driven my resources, if we are to walk the path God has ordained for us before the creation of this world

The Father taught me this principle which I have found to be true both in the old testament and in the new testament. Purpose precedes Provision. In Genesis 1 :26-27
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

God spoke about our purpose before we were created….While in Ephesians 2:10 it says …”created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” The divine pattern is highlighted that our provision is hidden in our purpose. Therefore, when we embrace fully completely abandoning ourselves; by taking on the responsibility of our call we release our Source to fulfill His plan for us and the provision needed to fulfill this mission. One of the lies we can begin to believe is ….if we are doing what God says it should not be hard. Why am I not seeing the fruits of my labor instantly? Sometimes we forget that when a farmer plants a seed it takes time before he can reap a harvest.

Do not focus on the results. The results are not our business we need to plant the seed and water it by focusing on the promises of God, confessing the promises of God not giving into doubt or fear. The Apostle Paul says it this way “I planted the seed in your hearts, Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow” (1 Corinthians 3:6).

Another important thing we must remember is, God never created trees but He gave us seeds to plant…. So often we want the finished product but we are not willing to walk through the process wholeheartedly. If we are only willing to obey and then complain when our expected end is not realised then Papa God being a good Father is simply exposing our impure hearts so that we can look to Him to cleanse and purify.

Sometimes our very motive is the barrier that has blocked us from eating the good of the land. Isaiah 1:19 says “If you are wiling and obedient you will eat the good of the land.” In the past the Lord has pointed out the importance of being both willing and obedient. Recently He pointed out that being willing is a loaded word because we can be willing for numerous reasons. If our reasons are hidden in our insecurities, ambitions, or our social status then our hearts will need purging or cleansing.

So you see when our focus is on the SOURCE -( Hebrew word for ABBA) it keeps our hearts pure. When our focus shifts to resource being a motivation we risk our hearts becoming impure and our motives becoming shady. My recent journey has exposed so much of my heart but as it did for me, may it refocus you and bring you to a place of honesty about your true motives and ask God to purify your heart.

Practical steps

1.Seek the Divine Source- ABBA
2.Focus on the promise not the problem
3.Wholeheartedly pursue your Purpose you will have your provision
4. Trust God…. If He said it, He will do it! It is in HIS Time not YOURS nor Mine
MAY These four steps open NEW doors to you. May your vats be filled with His goodness In JESUS NAME.

Today September 24 th, 2014; marks the beginning of the Jewish New Year. I believe that as we enter a new year, new season, new era I sense greatly a great jubilee in heaven to celebrate that which is about to happen…. In 14 days we would be celebrating 3 important festivities Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year), Yom Kippur (Atonement day the Holiest day of the year) and then Feast of Tabernacles the second (LunarTetrad of the four (BLOOD MOON).

“These are the appointed feasts of the LORD, the holy convocations, which you shall proclaim at the time appointed for them.” Leviticus 23:4 …These feasts are not only prophetic but are God’s appointed times and they carry profound implications.

Recently I had a vision that has led me to believe that our God is about to birth something spectacular! I believe we are embarking on one of the greatest moves of the Spirit of God this world has ever seen.

In my vision, I saw what looked like mist hovering and suspended over the earth. As I saw this I knew I was beholding the Glory of the Lord. As I settled that in my mind I saw people in their homes whose hearts were far away from the Lord falling to their knees and bowing to the King of Kings I could hear their knees as they fell  to the hard ground. I knew these people were falling to their knees in repentance before Our Great KING.

The picture then changed and I saw what looked like blood coming from the earth moving in succession towards the mist that suspended above the earth. I was instantly reminded of what the bible said about Abel’s blood crying out from the ground Genesis 4:10. I felt this was innocent blood that was shed that was crying out from the earth and heaven’s response is to send the  GLORY OF GOD!!

In the glory there is no struggle, in the glory  billions can be healed and restored, in the glory nothing is impossible! I believe we are about to see a great move of God that comes with judgement, signs and wonders and miracles that will leave us in AWE of the KING OF GLORY, THE SELF EXISTENT ONE, THE ALL SUFFICIENT ONE, THE EXTRAVAGANT ONE-ELSHADDAI.

Let us REMEMBER who is this GOD we SERVE!

Do you feel frustrated? Do you feel tired? Are you experiencing feelings of despair?

A few years ago when I had finished writing my first book the Lord said something to the impatient me then …..that still vibrates in my spirit as if He is still saying it.

He said ” when you birth something prematurely you are responsible for its maintenance but if you would wait for My appointed time it is My responsibility to maintain and provide.”

Those words were so profound to me. At the time the book I had finished stayed on my computer for a year. Until….. One day, I heard the Lord boomed “it is time!”

I noticed as I followed His timing everything I needed for this book to be published and be marketed was provided supernaturally as He aligned people, prompted hearts to released resources and locked doors became unlocked. We see the same happened to Abraham as He followed the Lord’s instruction to bring Isaac to Mount Moriah as a sacrifice. By following the instructions of the Lord despite his emotional attachments. Abraham obeyed and he met Jehovah Jireh (the God who provides) that day.You see supernatural provision comes naturally when we are in His timing.

Again God told Abraham His divine purpose for him but Abraham was only focused on having a heir while God’s plan for Him was much bigger than Abraham could imagine. Abraham went ahead and tried to create what he perceived in his earthly imagination to be God’s will but birthed an Ishmael(a counterfeit) instead. You see God is Aleph Tav (Alpha and Omega) His thoughts concerning us is not limited. God wanted to bring forth a whole new nation through Abraham’s generation. Abraham’s imagination could not fathom this. Our imaginations are limited so TRUST THE ALPHA AND OMEGA. He has GREAT Plans for you and me. 1 Corinthians 2:9 “ No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human mind has conceive the things God has prepared for those who love him—”

Everything God does He has a time in mind. His timing unlocks doors of provision, prepares hearts, realigns and orders people for His plans to come to fruition.. Don’t frustrate yourself but stay alert and continue to follow the leading of the Lord. He LOVES You and HAS PLANNED EVERYTHING long before you were even conceived. Lots of love. 1536491_10152680007718504_1892611037_n

1Corinthians 3:6; Matthew 18; Romans 1:17

Welcome to the month of PREPARATIONS. I have seen this picture of an ox pulling something that is preparing the land for harvest 3 times in a vision.

I get the impression that seeds have been planted. I am seeing a shaking off, realignment in the spirit and reordering for this to come to fruition. I am sensing this month you will feel led in specific direction that will prepare you for the birthing of a harvest that is coming. I sense that in this month knowing God as Judge, Jesus as the Mediator, and learning to judge ourselves to silence the accuser will be key.

I see benefactors, armour bearers, supernatural provisions, divine ideas, divine strategies, divine connections are being put in place. It looks like a lot of networking that will outwork the plans and purposes of God. I sense greatly that this is a word for those who have stepped into their divine purpose.

In this month of preparation I sense the Lord is calling us to raise our level of expectation. There is a lot God is preparing and your expectations of faith is watering the seeds for fruit to come forth

Glory to God!

Are you synchronising with Heaven or are you blocked?

An open heaven is living with nothing hindering God from doing what He wants to do in and through our lives.

1 Samuel 3 the chapter begins by saying in that time the WORD of the LORD was precious; implying there was a closed heaven then. Eli the priest at the time, is an example of someone who had a closed heaven over him. He was not able to discern the difference between a desperate longing and a drunkard. As Hannah prayed earnestly for a child; he mistook her earnestness for her being drunk. Eli, at the time was blinded by his own sin and the sins of his sons. In fact, the only time in scripture it is recorded that Eli heard the Lord is in 1 Sam 2:27-36 when God sent a prophet with a message of judgement upon him. There is no evidence of Jesus speaking personally or one on one to Eli.

However, In 1 Samuel 3 we see an amazing account of Samuel discerning the voice of God for himself. Samuel heard God speak into his own spirit and life and knew He had heard the voice of God. What we have here is a situation where the chapter starts with a spiritually closed heaven over Eli’s priesthood, and the nation of Israel, and it concluded with a spiritually opened heaven over the same nation. All because Samuel heeded the word of the Lord and obeyed.

Our God is the same yesterday, today and forever and is still speaking. He never speaks contrary to His word. We are living in a time where knowing the voice of God in your own life is CRUCIAL for your survival and more importantly to thrive spiritually.

Recently I was stuck/detained in the airport and had no way of contacting my Dad who was in the lounge of the airport. Living in a digital world I do not know anyone’s phone number apart from my own. I sat quietly and said to the Lord I need to know my Dad’s number and he gave me the number in chronological order. I quickly jumped up and dialled the number and to my amazement my Dad answered the phone. GLORY to GOD!!! You see the importance of hearing the voice of the Lord took me out of sticky situation that could have left me stranded for hours.

Living under an open heaven is fundamental for every born again believer in order to WALK in ONENESS and to be led by His Spirit into great intimacy with our Father in heaven.

In this NEW SHIFT mindsets are changing from ministry building to the advancement of the KINGDOM of God.

Old strategies that have dulled our hearts leaving us feeling defeated are being replaced with NEW STRATEGIES.

Where the driving force was works of the flesh there is a renewed confidence in the finished work of the CROSS.

Where flesh has prevailed, a Fresh Fire of the Spirit has come to burn up the chaff with its unquenchable FIRE.

Where personal agendas have reigned in the body of Christ and has been propagated as law, the WIND of the Spirit has come to awake and bring a stirring for where the Spirit of the Lord is there is LIBERTY.

Where walls have been built and have created barriers and caused blockages the reservoirs are releasing their waters and what was cloudy and murky is being CLEANSED by the river of the Spirit.

Where there was us and them, the people of God are beginning to imitate and reveal the LOVE of the Father, His vision, His divine assignment for each one as we seek to encourage and to spur one another to STAND in their GOD given DESTINY.

The Just shall live by faith not fear

Living by Faith is not a theory. It is an active response to the word of God be it, His written word or a prophetic word. Faith is something we do, not a theory. Too often we read or receive a word and we say we believe but we do nothing. Faith is agreeing and resting in what God has said, with the expectation that you WILL see the manifestation and fulfilment.

In recent years, I feel Papa God has been challenging my faith more than ever. I was first challenged by Him to not be an unbelieving believer. Then He asked me “What have I told you that you have and you have not really used or engaged with?

As I thought of it I could identify many things like:-

  • Angels Hebrews 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?”
  • Heaven Revelation 4:1After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
  • Dominion Genesis 1:26 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”
  • Fruits of the spirit Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance:against such there is no law.”
  • Gifts of the spirit 1 Corintians 12:8-10 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues

To name a few….

I am sure you get my point. I thought of these things as gifts from someone who loves me and how would I feel if I sacrificed my only son for someone and the gifts I gave them they did not open them and in some cases opened and looked at them but never really used them or used them a bit and then never really steward the gifts.

Since then I challenged my self to embrace and reclaim the reality that I am spirit and not flesh. Therefore I will focus on using my spirit more than any other parts of myself. I am determined to see the truth of 1John 4:17b As Jesus is so are we come to pass in every are of my life. I know Jesus did all He did on earth because He knew He is a spirit; He lived like a spirit. He walked through people, He walked on water, He raised the dead, He fed thousands with 2 fishes and 5 loaves. He believed that Papa God would not only hear His prayers but HE knew His authority and so He was not praying for what He had.

So, I began to engage with my angels. I found out that I have four angels. There are two angels that are always with me. They were sent to help me with my ministry. I know their functions and their names. I am now learning how to partner with them more and more. They were sent to minister to me. I am now able to ascertain where they are. Recently I saw one pouring water on someone’s head and I knew that this person needed refreshing. I partnered by praying and ministering what I saw. This lady walked away refreshed and rejuvenated by the LORD.

I began to engage with heaven I have been there many times and PAPA God has given me  testimonies that are jaw dropping.  PAPA has given us an open invitation. He says come boldly before the throne. He says come up here and He will show us the things to come. Recently every night I have found myself having conversations with PAPA. When I awake I know what to do in my circumstance. There are times when by interceding for someone, the Lord takes me up to heaven to show me this persons life and as He says in Revelations 4:1 He shows us the things to come this enables us to minister to someone in the depths of their souls.

I found myself taking a leap of faith knowing PAPA will catch me because if HE said it, then HE will do what HE says. Everytime we prophesy it is an act of faith it is stepping out and speaking what we believe God has said. The prophetic really teaches us how to trust God. The more I wait on God for a word for someone and make the bold step of not editing, not reasoning but communicating what I have seen and heard I am always so blessed at the feedback of confirmations that I am hearing God.

When we look at scripture we will notice that most times they carry an instructional element to them. We look 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that Spirit:and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. This scripture instructs us to turn to the LORD. When we do this it promises that the veil will be removed and that the spirit of the Lord will bring liberty.

We look at Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
The instruction here is to present your body as a living sacrifice. How many of us have or are actively presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice? The bible says this act is holy and acceptable unto God. WOW!!

1.Ask yourself what has God given me? Am I using it for His glory?

2.Ask yourself every- time you read the word or receive a word check whether there is any instructional element. If there is, do it because you will notice that after the instructions it prophesies the results that will occur.

Many times we are expecting the results without following the instructions. It is time to live by Faith not by sight. God has made His children JUST, Righteous. He said it so now let’s live by Faith not by what we see nor hear. Remember that our expectations tell PAPA we are available to see His reality in our lives. Follow His instructions and rest in His finished work. Be blessed.

The deception of judging by our physical senses….

Isaiah 11:3 “And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord:
and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes,
neither reprove after the hearing of his ears.”

When you have been brought up in a home where there has been more criticism than encouragement. It makes you feel inadequate and if you are a fighter you will always strive for higher levels of accomplishments. These criticisms can most times make you feel judged and condemned. As time goes on you notice consciously an unconsciously that you give back the same treatment that was shown to you. You judge others recklessly, jump to conclusions, make statements that are condemning.

However, when we look at Isaiah’s prophecy over Jesus and even study the life of Jesus we see that because of His quick understand -ing of the fear of the Lord HE DID NOT JUDGE BASED ON WHAT HE SAW; NOR BY WHAT HE HEARD.  His secret to this discipline was because HE FEARED THE LORD. What I drew from that is, Jesus was not willing to make a judgement that did not align with the Father’s heart. Instead He wanted to discern the heart of the Father and come into agreement with HIS thinking or mindset. A classic example of WALKING in ONENESS. This too needs to be our heart.

You see, what we see and hear in the natural is most times a farce, or does not tell the whole story.  It is a clue sometimes but deceptive at best.  We can see many examples in scripture where judgements were made based on physical appearances and how it caused wrong conclusions.

1 Samuel 16:7  Judging David based on appearance his youth, and the job he did could have prevented David to be the King he was.

1 Samuel 1:13   We see Hannah praying her lips moving but there was no sound and Eli assumed she was drunk….

You see, there is  real danger in judging through fleshly means whether it be based on the colour of someone’s skin, educational background, attire, how they speak, success, failure, what you read in the news or heard, age etc.

We must be led by the Spirit of GOD this is one of the hall marks of the sons of GOD. Jesus disappeared many a times to be with the Father and to seek the Father’s heart. I believe this was because He wanted to ensure that He was a true representative of HIS Father. It is a privilege to wait on the LORD.  He wants to and will always show you His heart in every matter. He only wants us to seek it out. The bible puts it this way, “it is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.” Let’s be  kings and seek out the Father’s heart. Let us not be conformed to the patterns of this world. Any mere man can react in rage, in criticism, in condemnation, be cynical, but it takes spiritual men filled with the spirit of God to respond with the heart of the Father. Do not be deceived, sometimes that means turning over chairs and chasing some people out of the temple…. rebuking the demon….reminding people of who God say they are,  means crying with someone….. prayer…..silence….Only PAPA knows the solution so flowing with Him is key.

To flow with the flesh is DESTRUCTIVE and will only lead to ABORTING the purposes of GOD for your life and for others!!!  Yes for others too….we are all connected so by your own fleshly judgement you can prevent others from fulfilling or delaying the purposes of God in their lives. NO man is an island.

2Cor 5:16 From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer.

Let us hear what the spirit of the Lord is saying. The right perspective of God,will give us right perspective of self and others.

Father God, forgive us for being fleshly in our judgements. Forgive us for setting up barriers of religion, race, in our hearts towards people where we see US and THEM rather than US. Lord help us like Jesus to seek out your heart in all things, so we can be a true representative of you.Lord we know we cannot influence what we have failed to love. Lord, your heart is so beautiful give us eyes to see your heart and ears to hear what the spirit of the Lord is saying. Daddy send the fear of the Lord to caution us as we decide, and make choices. Thank you that because we have the mind of Christ not only do we know your perspective but that you will give us the right heart to obey your mindsets.  In JESUS MIGHTY NAME AMEN!

New Levels of intimacy

“Sometimes we are so busy being who we were- we forget to be who we really are. It is time to embrace the real you. The one Jesus died for. “

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me (Galatians 2:20-21).

Acceptance, love, affection, value and worth; approval, significance, affirmation, identity and purpose; security and safety are all things we crave. I have learnt from personal experience that these are desires PAPA God has put in us. However, when we seek after these things through fleshly means we always get emotionally damaged. Most times, it causes us to put up barriers in our hearts. These barriers prevent us from engaging with the Father with the depth of intimacy He desires.

It is time we bring all that we desire whether it be acceptance, worth etc and seek it from Him. To do this is to give Him access to heal us from past hurts and to renew our perspective in Him. He desires intimacy with us more than we know.
However, if we have created barriers to protect ourselves…. this protection is of the flesh. The growth in our intimacy with the Father is blocked when we do this. We are not flesh -we are spirit.  So anything of the flesh would only put a plaster on a wound but will never completely heal the wound. We must begin to seek the things of the spirit in all things because only this is eternal.

Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit (Galatians 5:24-25).

1.Decide to stop seeking to fulfil your needs through fleshly means.

2.Look to Papa God wholeheartedly to meet your needs in every area.

3. Be completely honest and open about all the hurts that have damaged you individually.

4. Wait on Papa God to show you His perspective on each one before moving on. His perspective brings healing, so that when you look back feelings of regret, shame, disappointments will be in the past.

Emotional healing is one of the keys to new levels of intimacy. Let us cleanse all the areas of our emotions by getting PAPA’s view. Be blessed. Sending lots of love.
